Social Media

Week 6 10th-14th February 2020

As part of our English the children took part in a debate on whether social media should be banned for children. This became quite heated and the children really got stuck into the content. Hayden was an excellent Chairperson introducing the debate, keeping to time, managing who's turn to talk it was and bought the debate to a close.

This was then used to support a piece of writing in their English books the following day.

Safer Internet Day #FreetoBe was on Tuesday 12th February. The children explored through discussion scenarios that they may have expeienced and were able to talk about what they should and shouldn't do.

The children were able to design a questionnaire about social media and worked alongside Year 6 who offered support and advise and answered some of their questions. The children then interpreted the data and put it into bar charts or pictographs. They worked really hard and achieved great results.

Our York and Swansea class working collaboratively on their questionnaires. Great participation by all. Well done.
Our Dance lessons are really paying off, the routine is developing in complexity and is looking really good.
