Week 5 - 3rd February 2020

In week 5, Plymouth class were getting extremely excited about their History trip in Central London. On the Friday, we had a coach just for our class and they were all very well behaved on board as we made our way to the British History Museum.

During the morning, years 3 and 4 all were involved in a Ancient Greece workshop from a historical expert where they learnt more about Greek God and Goddesses. As well as some of the Greek myths which are still spoken about today. They also discovered how pots, vases and mosaics portray a story throughout Ancient Greek times. It was a very informative morning that all the children thoroughly enjoyed.

Throughout the day, the children were able to observe and freely wonder around the museum in their smaller groups. There were a lot of 'Greek rooms' for the children to explore some of the ancient Greek artefacts such as coins, statues, jewellery, pots, theatre masks, weapons, armour and a fountain.

I was very proud of how well the children behaved,  listened and were respectful to other members of the public. Hopefully they shared with you all about their trip to the museum.
