Week 5 - 3rd February 2020

This week we have been reading the story 'Where The Wild Things Are.' The story is about a little boy called Max whose room turns into a forest and he travels to an island where the wild things live. We had great fun turning our role play corner into a forest. The children helped to create trees and leaves and hung vines from the ceiling. Some children worked together to paint wild things with terrible teeth, yellow eyes and terrible claws. They have enjoyed re-creating the story through role play.
The children got really excited when we got the apparatus out in PE. We had a 'wild rumpus' like Max and the wild things in the story. The children really developed in confidence in climbing and jumping, saying "I did it!!"
