Week 5 - 3rd February 2020
Curious Cats
This term in Art, we have been developing our drawing skills by illustrating cats. We started off with a 'cold' task and we were asked to draw a cat to the best of our ability. The lessons that proceeded allowed us to explore features in more detail, shadows and different types of fur patterns. After all this study, our final pieces came out amazingly and you can really see a difference between the first and last images. Take a look at our artist's gallery below.
English
In English this week, we have continued to look at Farmer Duck and the hardship that the duck faced completing all his daily tasks for the farmer. We wrote a recount from the view of the cow in the story. Have a look at our finished work below.

Maths
In Maths this week, Year 1 have been looking at how we can re-group numbers to make our sums easier. E.g instead of using 7+6, we would add 10+3.

Forest School Fun!
This week in Forest School, we built our own den's, made bird feeders and even found a part of a tree that could help us sweep the leaves up. We are so upset that next week is our last Forest School session for this term, but we are looking forward to after Easter when it will be back!
