Week 5 - 30th November 2020

This week in English we have been writing our own stories about a Tiger who may have lost something or wanted to go on an adventure. We made sure to include adjectives we've learnt, conjunctions to extend some of our sentences and some of us even added in similes. Have a read of some of our stories below.

Maths this week was tricky as we learnt to tell the time! We have been counting in 5's around the clock and learning that quarter past is the same as 15 minutes around the clock and half an hour is 30 minutes. We would love it if you could help us continue to read the time at home!

Our new Science topic is 'Everyday Materials'. On Monday we were given a whole load of materials and had to write what we knew about them in our books. We couldn't just write a box, but had to identify that it was made from paper. We then were given hoops and we could sort the materials in any way we wanted. Some of us sorted into fabric and not fabric, some into transparent and opaque.
