Week 4 - 3rd May 2021
English:
Our new book 'How to Catch a Star' stuck in our minds over the long weekend because as soon as we came back, we planned a story map and also a diary entry pretending we were the boy! We can't wait to show you our final pieces before we look at extending sentences next week.
Maths:
In Maths, we've moved onto division by sharing and by grouping. Some of us even looked at the link between multiplication and division. We worked really hard to understand the concept because the two different ways are confusing to differentiate.
Number Day:
We came in on Friday and were all given a number and a number mat. We spent time thinking about our number and what we know about our number. In the afternoon, we played number board games and some of us created our own.
Science:
We looked at signs of Spring this week and went outside (before it rained!) to look at what was around us. We compared our clothes to those we wore in Winter too.
Our Visitor:
On Friday, as well as Number Day, we had a visitor from Bob who had been to Antarctica!! We were absolutely fascinated and had SO many questions to ask him based on what we had already learnt in our Geography lessons.
