Week 4 28th - 2nd October
This week we have continued to learn about the Maya civilisation. The children wrote a job application to be a priest apprentice and highlighted the skills they would need. They also explored the possible reasons the Maya's fell into decline- the historians have no idea why.
In science the children further explored the effects of air resistence on a parachute and created a fair test looking at variables we could change (independent) and variables that would stay the same.
In English all the children took part in writing their own short story based on the Wolves in the Wall book we have looked at. Some very creative ideas were explored.
We have looked at Frida Khalo as a famous Mexican artist and attempted to create our own Frida inspired self-portrait.
