Week 4 - 27th January 2020

We are Gymnasts!

This week, we finally finished our gymnastics floor routine to Dolly Parton's 9-5. We enjoyed every minute! We included balances, jumps, and turns. Unfortunately the video is too large to upload, if you want to see it, pop in and Miss Grossman will show you.

Maths

In Maths this week, Year 1 have been looking at measurements such as height, weight and even timed events. We measured ourselves using cubes and even had a running race to see who would come first, second and third.

Year 2 have been focusing on money ££££. We played money bingo with our purses and then thought about how we can make the same amounts of money using different coins. We then challenged ourselves to think about how much change someone would receive if they gave the shopkeeper 'X' amount. We found this tough, but we persevered and got there in the end.

English

'Quack', said the duck to the Farmer in our new book 'Farmer Duck'. We have been looking at the life of the duck on the farm and how hard it was for him to do all the errands for the lazy farmer, who sat in bed all day.

Forest School

This week in Forest School, we created a spider web using the trees and had to work out how to get out of it by climbing under and over.
