Week 4 - 25th November 2019
This week has been full of fun and exciting events. The year 4 speed stacking competition took place in Hertswood Academy. The representatives from Shenley Primary School did such an amazing job by showing great sportsmanship and displayed fantastic behaviour throughout the competition. We are so proud of them all for taking part! Well done to both teams, as they have placed 4th and 6th out of 18 in the competition!
To show our learning over the year, Plymouth class held a brilliant assembly this week. We showed off our knowledge of music (pentatonic scales, dynamics and note range), limerick poetry, reasoning in Maths, Science (light and shadows) and our creativity in Art. The children did an astounding job at presenting this in a fun and interactive way! Well done to the whole class for the collaboration and participation.
Next week we will be writing a diary entry as the character Nikola Tesla and his thoughts on this new invention of alternating current and his battles with Thomas Edison. In maths we will be using bar models to solve problems with measures. We will be starting our topic of Religious Education and be looking at Christmas around the world.
