Week 4 - 25th November 2019

We have had such a lot of fun this week exploring the poem ‘Sir Winter’ by Edward Lear.  Together we acted out the poem in the character of ‘Sir Winter’ then ‘hot-seated’ him asking him lots of questions!  The children discussed and wrote about their opinions of the character and some children constructed him out of clay!

In Maths we have been finding ‘the difference’ between numbers and amounts.

Also we have been learning about ‘Advent’ and what this means for Christians with a visit from Reverend Daniel in assembly and working together to make an Advent wreath in class.

Next week we will be finding out about Queen Victoria as part of our History focus this half term and exploring the life of a child in Victorian times through drama.

In Maths we will be learning to make equal values using symbols to record including add and subtract.

We are very busy practising our Christmas play – please keep learning the songs at home!
