Week 4 - 23rd November 2020
English
In English we continued to read 'Augustus and his Smile'. We began to extend our sentences using subordinating clauses, and some of us even put them at the beginning of our sentence. On Friday we wrote expanded noun phrases. We started with a basic sentence and made sure to add in adjectives and adverbs.

Maths
In Maths, we were subtracting 1-digit and 2-digit numbers. We spent time partitioning the numbers to find out how many tens and ones we needed to take away, as well as regrouping a ten stick for ten ones. For No Pens Day Wednesday we learnt all about 3D Shapes. We were counting how many vertexes they had, how many faces and started to classify them.

Geography
We finished learning all about The UK. We learnt what the national flowers were of each country and what the flags look like. On Tuesday we compared countrysides and towns. We thought about the areas that we live in and realised that Shenley was in the countryside and Borehamwood was a town.
