Week 4 - 16th March 2020
School Closure Work
I have sent home packs of work for the children to complete whilst the school is closed until the Easter Holidays. On the Class Page you will also find links to additional tasks for Year 1 and Year 2 and a home learning sheet. Please use these for guidance on extra work. I will continue to send out the word of the day via MarvellousME!
You can also still continue to use Mathletics, and I will be sending out the weekly quiz. You can sign up to phonicsplay.co.uk and access phonics games to play at home.
Further work will be sent out if needed.
Maths
Lessons this week have continued, even with dwindling numbers. Year 1's worked on their money skills and counting using coins. We started by discovering which coins there are, and then continued to make amounts below 10p and over 10p.

Art
In Art this week we started to papier mache our planets. We worked in tables to cover our balloons in newspaper. We had to wait two days for them to dry as we made them really gluey!

Making Cards for NHS Workers
Towards the end of the week, the class thought it would be a nice idea to make cards for all the front line workers in hospitals who were working around the clock to help others.

Fruit Salad
Thank you to all parents who brought fruit for our first 'Friday Fruit Salad'. We had such fun making it and trying new and exciting fruits. We are looking forward to being able to try more when we return to school.
