Week 3 - 9th March

Sport Relief on Friday

We had another exciting week ! Last week we had Book Day and this  week Sport Relief on Friday. In the morning , everyone had the opportunity to attend workshops on Yoga, Boxercise, High Intensity Training, Assault Courses and Team Games. The atmosphere around the school was full of excitement and enthusiasm. After lunch, we all got the chance to use the outdoor gym equipment and to use the wall bars , ropes and the gymnastics equipment in the hall. As well as that , our class had our usual football training session with the coach from Watford City Football Club. So , what an amazing day!

English

Last week we did a lot of very interesting work on the 'We're all wonders' book and our discussion continued this week about how we're all unique and special. It celebrate the fact that we all are different and that we should accept and include everyone. In the story, Auggie, the main character, was excluded, laughed at and bullied because he was different. This we we wrote persuasive letters to the other children to persuade them to be kind and understanding.

Maths

This week our focus has been on Learning Sequence 20: Multiplication and Division Worded Problems.

Step 1: Worded problems based on equal groups.

Step 2: Worded problems involving money.

Step 3: Combination worded problems.

This week we have been revising the 4 times tables and will continue that next week as well, so please help us by practising at home as well.

Next week, we will be moving on to Geography and leaning more about Greece.
