Week 3 - 23rd September 2019

Picture 1

In art this week, the children have sketched a picture of a dragon's eye focussing on reflections of light and colour to make an eye appear real. They have used pastels to feature the focus of the lesson.

Picture 2

In maths, the children have been revising to regroup numbers and to use the think 100 and 1000 strategy to help with mental maths calculations. Here is an example of some great mental maths skills after a week of resilience from all children.

Picture 3

The finished work of the non-chronological reports the children have been working on. They have produced great detail and description in their writing. They have all included an introduction and sub-headings such as a dragon's habitat, diet and species.

Next week

We will be looking into persuasive writing in literacy, be introduced to equal sum as a mental strategy in maths and will be looking closely into Scotland and Wales as part of our geography.
