Week 3 - 23rd September 2019

We have had a great week this week in Oxford class and have been extremely engaged in our learning. One highlight was our English work on dragons. We have been reading the book 'Dragonology' and have created our own dragons based on those that we saw in the book. We wrote non-chronological reports about them and then published our final pieces in the same style as the pages of the book. We had great fun doing this and comparing our dragons with our friends. Next week, we will be beginning instruction writing using the book 'How to Train Your Dragon' by Cressida Cowell.

Another lesson that really excited us was our geography lesson in which we learned about different landmarks in the capital city of England, London. We pretended that we were 'Youtubers'  and wrote a script for our own Youtube video about why kids should visit London. We had great fun using the iPads to film them after we had finished writing.

Our first Spanish lesson of the year took place this week and we leaned some new phrases such as 'Como estas?' ' estoy bien' and 'estoy mal'. We are excited to learn more phrases next week.
