Week 3 - 21st September 2020

This week in English we have continued with our book Frog and the Stranger. We used conjunctions to extend our sentences and did this through 'Conjunction Alley'. We filmed some of our sentences below for you to see. We also wanted to change the story. We decided that the characters should have been polite and kind to Rat, as he wasn't filthy after all. Have a look below at some of our stories.

This week in Maths we have focussed on partitioning numbers 0-10 and 11-20. We have looked at this using our part whole models and which calculations we can decipher from the model. Some of us moved on to partitioning using three parts. Towards the end of the week, we learnt how to exchange one ten for ten ones and ten ones for one ten - for addition and subtraction.

Some of us were super proud of our handwriting this week, where we looked at joining letters 'g' 'f' 'j' and putting them into words too.

We continued we with our pentathlon training trying to beat last week's scores. We also started working on our dodging skills and finished the lesson with a game of dodge ball.
