Week 3 - 20th January 2020

In Hertfordshire Class this week we have been reading the story ‘Farmer Duck’ and using drama to act out the story in groups.  We have been thinking about the main characters and learning to describe their special characteristics.  In Maths we have been practising representing amounts to twenty as numbers, number names, as tens and ones and showing the number on a tens grid. For Science this week we have been sorting foods and learning about how to keep healthy.  We have been looking carefully at cats in our art project and choosing to draw the special features of a cat.

Next week we are reading and sharing the traditional tale ‘The Three Little Pigs’ learning to sequence and write about events and the characters in the story.  In Maths we will be estimating amounts and identifying more and less than given numbers.
