Week 3 - 16th to 20th of November 2020

In  English this week , we started off by learning how to vary the way we start sentences in our writing , with a focus on adverbs of time.

Then, we re-wrote the story over three days and used interesting and appropriate sentence starters, adverbs, adjectives, conjunctions, prepositions and some great figurative language.

On Friday , we all had an opportunity to read our stories to the class or to our learning partners.

We have thoroughly enjoyed Mini Rabbit Not Lost but will be starting our new book on Monday. It is the Three Little Pigs fairy tale but told from the wolf's perspective .

It is called The True Story of the Three Little Pigs.

In Maths this week we developed our understanding of Mental Addition and added

three digit numbers to one, two and three digit numbers.

Next week , our focus will be on Mental Subtraction.

Also, we started work on learning the four times tables. Remember that you can use TTRockstars to help practise the times tables and Mathletics to practise our skills in Maths.

In RE this week , we have been learning about what Muslims believe.
We then went on to find out about mosques , which are their special places to pray.
Homelearning The children can make a poster or a factsheet about what they have learned so far about Islam .
As you can see from the our Science Working Wall , we are learning about Forces in Science.
