Week 3 - 16th November 2020
This week in English we looked at Henri Rosseau's painting 'Tiger in a Tropical Storm'. We wrote about what we could see and events, using correctly punctuated sentences. Have a look at some of our work below!
In Maths, we have explored difference, rebalancing to find equal sum with take-aways (remembering our rounding to the nearest 10 from last week) and also began to add 1-digit to a 2-digit number with regrouping. This was tricky for us because we had to regroup the 10 ones for a 10-stick. Next week we are moving on to subtracting with regrouping and telling the time!
Our Geography topic about London has continued this week, where we explored London Landmarks, and started to use a map and compass to direct ourselves around London. We had to make sure we directed using North, South, East and West otherwise we wouldn't know where to go!
On Tuesday Morning, we were lucky that Rev. Daniel took us on a tour of the Church to look at the signs and symbols that Christians use. We were able to ask questions and we learnt so much about what they are all used for.
