Week 2 9th -11th November 2020

This week has been full of action and activity. Most of the class were involved in 'Bikeability' and if you were out and about in Shenley, you may have seen a line of children on their bikes learning the skills to be able to ride safely.

In English we have been looking at particular grammar skills and some of the children wrote a Lonely Hearts ad for a mudskipper or a letter to a Sally Lightfoot crab. It's been fun to see what the children have come up with.

Particles and states of matter have been looked at in Science this week. The children did a great job sorting different substances into solids, liquids and gases. We enjoyed moving as particles, it was especially fun to watch the gases group.

Maya Masks were completed this week in Art, after some research on designs and uses of masks in the Maya civilisation. The children have produced some fantastic masks- really impressive.

We ended the week with an exciting 'Duck Race' we all had a quacking time!!

Chris's duck won the race and Isabel's duck got the best dressed award!

Thanks to all for taking part.
