Week 2 - 14th September 2020
We have finished Week 2 and have had another great week of learning! We started on Monday and Tuesday by reviewing the 2 and 5 times tables. We answered questions as to which numbers were missing. We played an odd and even game too. We learnt that we can tell if any number is odd or even by just looking at the last digit!
On Wednesday we were introduced to our 3 times tables. It was trickier than the 2,5 and 10s but we still managed it and some of us moved on to a challenge question too. We ended this week in Maths by exploring Counting and addition using tens and ones. We loved learning this as it'll make it easier for us to work out our calculations.

Finally, we continued our learning about The Great Fire of London. We explored what life may be like in 1666, learnt about the different jobs such as a Gong Farmer, Chimney Sweep, Chandler and Firefighters.
We had lots of fun outside thinking about how hard it must have been to put out fires without hoses and we even practised passing along a bucket full of water to see how it spilt out. We understood that we had to pass it quickly, but also carefully to that as much water could get to the 'fire' as possible.
