Week 2 - 13th January 2020

This week in Hertfordshire class we have been sequencing stories and planning our own story based around ‘The Tiger who came to Tea’.  The children had lots of fun with this and came up with plenty of ideas for an animal they would like to come and visit their house!  In maths we have been exploring numbers to twenty and learning to represent numbers in different ways including using tens grids, part-whole models and as number sentences.  We have been practising counting forwards and back from different starting points using numbers up to and across one hundred. Also this week the children have been exploring their senses through a range of different experiments and learning more about animals and the types of foods they eat.  It has been a great week and we have focused on developing resilience and going in our ‘Learning Pit’ - even though we can find things hard the children have kept going and tried their best.  Well done Hertfordshire Class!
