Week 2- 11th November 2019

This week has been a busy and exciting week in Oxford class!

All week we have been working hard on our class assembly. The perseverance and commitment shown by the children was extremely impressive and I think they had all learnt their lines in just two days! The assembly had a 'Gogglebox' theme, where each tv show showed a snippet of our learning so far this year. Thank you for all of the support with learning lines and for being a great audience!

On Wednesday, we started our dance lessons with Hayley. We had great fun learning some new moves and ended by putting them together in our Oxford class 'catwalk'. These lessons will take place every Wednesday so PE kits need to be in school for that day.

In science this week, we have enjoyed some practical sessions investigating shadows. We were lucky enough that it was sunny on Tuesday so we investigated our own shadows in the sunshine! Then, on Wednesday we carried out an investigation into whether the proximity of an object to a light source effected the size of the shadow. We had great fun planning and carrying out this investigation and learned lots!
