Week 1 - 4th November 2019

Welcome back!

On Tuesday and Wednesday, we had our Arts Days. We all worked with different teachers and different children within our houses. We had the opportunity to take part in Music, Dance, Art and Drama workshops.

On Friday we began Gymnastics in our PE lesson. We had to create a sequence that included a balance, a roll and a jump. In small groups, we all performed our sequence ready to build upon next lesson!

In computing this week, we started our own blogs as part of out ‘Staying Connected’ topic. The children have used the chrome books to plan their own blog about their favourite topics. I am looking forward to seeing these blogs grow over the next few weeks.

This week we have had a Remembrance service for our children in UKS2 with Reverend Daniel. Louis, Daniel and Olivia read the poem ‘In Flanders Fields’ – we also lit a candle and had a two minutes silence which ended with the Last Post on the bugle. It was a reflective time allowing the children to think about what the day means to us.
