Week 1 - 2nd November 2020

This week we have been learning about fireworks. We watched a video of a firework display and talked about how to stay safe with fireworks.
The children have been exploring mark making to create some beautiful firework pictures.
We talked about the origin of the fireworks celebrations and how years ago it was a tradition to build a 'Guy' and set light to it on the bonfire. The children helped Mrs Wilson to make a Guy, stuffing old clothes with paper and making a head from a cardboard box. We talked about building bonfires (and checking for wildlife before setting light to them!)
