This week, we started with ''Odd Socks Day''- we were recognising Anti-Bullying Week. It also started our ''Just Talk Week'', we have been thinking about the importance of talking to support our own mental health.
In Science, we recorded our YouTube episodes for Year 5 about how light travels and how light helps us to see. Year 6, used some excellent scientific vocabulary. We also began making some periscopes to enable us to see using mirrors.
In Geography, we began our learning about the Amazing Americas. We discussed the equator, the tropics, the polar circles and the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. We noticed something special about the Americas - can you work out what it might be?
The Night of the Gargoyles - this is our new book. We started reading this fantastic book by exploring different vocabulary and describing the gargoyles using expanded noun phrases!
Well done Year 6! Fantastic work!
