LI: To find out what muscles are and how skeletal muscles help us move.

This week, In Science, we are going to be learning more about muscles and how important they are to the human body.

What do you think the job of a muscle is?

I have also uploaded a 'Question Wonder' sheet which will help you to support your children with science at home. When your child is carrying out an investigation in home learning, or when discussing something scientific, use this sheet to support questioning. For example " I wonder why _________ happened?"

Can you complete the challenge questions below? Talk with someone at home while you are working through the challenges!

Can you record and write down what you have learnt?

What did you learn?

Did you learn about how muscles work in pairs? One muscle (the flexor) contracts and is made shorter, and the other muscle (the extensor) relaxes and gets longer to move!

If you would like, print this sheet to use as your answer sheet when carrying out the quiz.
