In the story, the boy takes his rowboat out of the cupboard and they test it for size and strength. Your science challenge this week is to make your own rowboat and test it.

You could test it for...

Size: What would you need to put in the rowboat? Can you make a boat for one of your toys? How will you make sure it is the right size?

Strength: How could you make sure your rowboat is strong enough to carry your favourite toy?

Your boat will need to float on the water. What would be the best materials to use? Test some different materials and see which would work best.

What other materials could you use?
