This half term, our Science learning is 'Animals, including humans' where you will learn to:

  • name the components of a healthy and varied diet and describe how a diet should be balanced.
  • identify that animals, including humans, need the right types and amount of nutrition, and that they cannot make their own food; they get nutrition from what they eat
  • describe the main functions of their skeletons and learn about muscles
  • identify that humans and some other animals have skeletons and muscles for support, protection and movement

This week we will be learning about food and nutrition:

Lesson 1: To identify that humans get the nutrition they need from what they eat.

Extra challenge:

Can you design a balanced dinner?
