This week we are going to continue to learn about plants. Did you plant your seed last week? Has it started to grow? When it does, you might notice that each plant has different part to it. That is what we are going to learn about this week.

Watch the slideshow below to find out more.

Parts of a Plant

Have a look at your plant. Can you identify all the parts yet? If your seed has not started to grow, have a look at the photographs of my bean seeds and see if you can identify the parts.

Which part of my plant started to grow first?

Which part came next?

Draw your growing plant and label the parts.

You could use the document below to cut out parts of a plant and 'build' your own.
If you have not yet started a diary to record how your plant grows, you could use the document below. If you have not been able to plant a seed, you can use the pictures of my bean seed-I will post pictures of how it is growing every week.
