Thursday 26th of March 2020

Good morning everyone .

My suggestions for this morning:

Take part in one (or more ) of the lessons in White Rose about Fractions.

Then try one of these Maths Challenges :

https://nrich.maths.org/8495

Times Tables

We had been practising the 4 times tables , so you could go on this link to practise them and others as well. ( By the end of Year 3, they should know the 2, 5, 10, 3, 4 and 8 times tables.)

Times Table Rockstars Link

You can also use our usual app to practise.

Have fun!

Other lessons and activities:

Have a look at the links below and choose some ones you would like to do.

Don't forget to look at our class email address and use it to ask questions, make comments and/or tell me about what activities you have done. You can send me pictures , too. I really want to give out lots and lots of MARVELLOUS MEs .

Wednesday 25th March 2020

Hello everyone. I am sending regular emails to our new class email address:

middlesex@shenley.herts.sch.uk  If you have any questions or comments, please email them to me. Yesterday, some children sent me copies of their work by email  on the Maths Challenge a Marvellous Me for that. Also, someone sent me written work that they had done and pictures and they too, got a Marvellous Me. As you know, our topic in Science is 'Skeletons' and I received a video of a child using the 'lungs'  he had made!

Weekly Maths lessons.

I am adding the link for White Rose , who are providing new Maths lessons and activities every week. Go onto the Year 3 section of the home learning.

This week there are five lessons about Fractions. Look at the video together and then complete the activities. The answers are also provided to check your answers. You can also go back to the Year 2 section , if you want to go over the basics . If you find the Year 3 activities easy , why don't you try the Year 4 and Year 5 lessons too?

Have fun!

Maths Challenge (Tuesday 24th of March)

Hello everyone . I hope that you are all well and that you are enjoying learning at home. I have added a Maths Challenge for you on your MARVELLOUS ME site.

We are going to put some of your answers on the school Twitter account.

Have fun!
