Music Room

The newly resourced music room provides an excellent space where all children have their music lessons. Peripatetic teaching and specialist teaching also takes place here.
The Shenley School Choir has been going from strength to strength with more children joining every term. We practise regularly and sing lots of different genres of music. We have had the chance to participate in many performances such as singing in Wilton Lodge Home and Voice in a Million  Concert at Wembley Arena.
Singing Assembly

Singing assembly happens every Wednesday morning. The children get the opportunity to learn different songs and practise them together. So far this year we have learnt Roar by Katy Perry. This linked to the book the children were introduced to at the beginning of the year 'The Lion Inside'.

Have a look below for the links to the songs, so you can practise at home.

Voice in a Million
For the past two years, Shenley Primary School have taken part in Voice in a Million (VIAM) at Wembley SSE Arena. The children learnt 8 songs, with actions and got the chance to perform in front of thousands of people. Voice in a Million raises money to help children in care around the world.

Summer Music Recital

In the summer term, Shenley School hosts it's annual music recital. This is a wonderful concert to celebrate the amazing musical skills of our pupil's having various instrument or singing lessons. Pieces range from a choir performance to piano pieces, cornets, violins, saxophones and many more.
