Maths

This week we are going to be starting our new topic themed maths linked to under the sea!

Download this 100 square.  Can you say all of the numbers to 100?  Try counting from different starting numbers!

Maths challenge:-

Find all of the multiples of 10 - what do you notice on the 100 square?

Can you count in 5s on the 100 square?

Try counting backwards as well as forwards from different starting numbers!

It is important to be able to write numbers correctly and facing the right way!  Practise by going over these numbers carefully, starting in the correct place.  After you have done this, try writing them out yourself correctly.  Get someone in the family to check your numbers and practise any not correctly formed or orientated!  Well done for keeping trying - remember practise makes perfect!

Now let's try some basic number bonds, you may like to use some cubes, buttons or 1p coins to help you! Have a go at the first page on this 'Maths mastery' - choose a target number and make up an addition to find the total.

Maths challenge -

Can you find all the possibilities?

Can you find a way to make a pattern with the numbers in your additions?
