Spellings will be stuck or written into your child's reading records on a weekly basis so lots of practising at home would be very beneficial. The words chosen relate to the spelling rule being taught in school.

If you're child would like to complete one of the following tasks which will support their learning with our topic this term 'Ancient Egypt'. This is optional.

Create a newspaper report of finding an Ancient Egyptian artefact. Think about the features of a newspaper and your choice of vocabulary.

Write a fact file about Ancient Egypt. Think about the river Nile, the pyramids, the gods, food and drink.

Create your own tomb or coffin for a mummy. Remember they are decorated with a picture of the person to show their wealth.

Make your own simple game about Ancient Egypt. For example: snap cards, quiz cards, Uno, snakes and ladders.

Have fun! laugh
