Ancient Egyptians:

This is our exciting topic and the chidren are looking forward about to learning more. We started off with them asking the questions that they wanted to find out about the Ancient Egyptians . A lot of them wanted to find out about the what the Ancient Egyptians ate and about mummies.

We had great fun looking at the timeline and sorting the events in the right time order. It took a while but was definitely a worthwhile experience for all of them.

They now also have a better understanding of what BC and AD mean. Also, it was good experience for them to work out the the BC events were placed in the timeline.

Next Week:

1.: We will continue to develop our understanding of the different social groups in Ancient Egypt.

2.: We will find out about who the pharaohs were and why they were important.

3.: The focus will be the Ancient Egyptian gods and godesses.
