In York class, we began our RE topic - looking at symbols in Christianity and Hinduism. Firstly, we compared the religions and looked for similarities and differences. We learned that Hindu's celebrate Diwali using diva pots. Diva pots, are an important symbol for Hindu's as they are used to light up the way home for Rama and Sita. We made our own Diva pots using clay:
Following on from our Watford Mental Health programme, we were set two challenges. We had to try to count to 21 without any order and only one person speaking at one time. Although, we found this tricky we continued and tried to develop different strategies to help ourselves. Our 2nd challenge, was to balance a cup on our heads and get up and down without touching the cup. We had many successful attempts - again all of York class showed great determination and growth mindset.
