Hi everyone !

I hope that you are all well. I am very proud of each and every one of you for the way you have coped with this Lockdown and for the resilience you have showwn!

I am very, very happy that you will all be back in school on the 8th of March, which is only a week away!  I have missed you a lot and am looking forward to seeing you all again.

This week is Book Week and there are lots of exciting things planned.

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday you vcan join in with 'Book at Bedtime' at 4.30pm to 5pm. There will be a choice of stories every day with different teachers and teaching assistants, and you can attend the phase group that has the story that appeals to you most and change that every day. if you want to.

The ' Dress a potato' competition was very popular last year and we had lots of great entries . This year you can enter by sending a photo of your entry to

exeter@shenley.herts.sch.uk by the 3rd of March. There will be a video made of all the entries and a winner will be chosen from each phase . These will be announced on the 5th of March.

Book Advert Promotion. You can create a voice recrding or video advert for your favourite book and send it to york@shenley.herts.sch.uk by the 3rd of March . A winner from each class will be announced on the 5th of March.

Thursday is World Book Day and we would like you to still dress up and this time our theme is Adjectives ! Pick your favourite adjective and dress up as it.

Look at the Book Week and World Book Day section ,on the general page for all the classes, for pictures to inspire you .

There will be a virtual assembly for you to show everyone your outfit.

Exciting news! A local author , Steven Vinacour, will be reading his new book 'Ted and his Time Travelling Toilet. Tudor Triangle' live on World Book Day (Thursday). Look on the section on the general page ( Book Week and World Book Day) for all classes for the information about how you can buy his book.

There are also details about how to tune into Scolastics' events on that page , too.

If you have any questions, you can email me on our class email.

It is going to be a very exciting week!

Class Zoom Meetings will be at 11am on Monday and Friday , as usual and they will be our English lessons for both those days.

I have enjoyed seeing all the lovely  work that you have been doing at home and you can send this week's work to me on our class email:
