Meet the Governors

Picture 1 Jamie Dean Stockwell - Chair of Governors

I was elected as a parent governor in September 2014 and as a co-opted governor in May 2015.  I am the proprietor of a local estate agency firm, with over 30 years’ experience in my field. I am married with a son in year 5. As Chair, I attend all committee/full governing body meetings. I also visit the school on a regular basis to meet with the Headteacher and receive updates on school progress. I strongly believe that every child deserves the best education possible and it is a privilege for me to be able to offer my support to the school community.

Hello my name is Daniel the vicar of St Martin’s Shenley. I have 3 children who attend Shenley Primary School. As the local vicar, I love to bring the values of inclusivity, respect and positive thinking into all the activities I am involved in at Shenley Primary School. Furthermore with St Martin’s Church  next to the school, I also hope our relationship  may continue to blossom through class events and school celebrations.  Working alongside teachers, parents and their children is definitely one of my favourite parts of my job!

I was born in Shenley in 1953 and continued to live in Shenley for 26 years. I attended Shenley primary school until the age of 11years. My Grandmother and Mother also attended Shenley school but then it was a separate boys school in the old school house and the girls in the bigger building. Back then Shenley School was a thriving village school as it still is today. In my time here as Site Manager and staff governor I have seen many changes made to improve the learning environment. I am sure Shenley School will remain to be a thriving school.

Picture 1 Tracy Madigan - Deputy Head Associate Member

I am the Deputy Headteacher of Shenley School and have taught in every class over the period of my career.  I am a creative thinker and balance this with being excited about maths and anything involving numbers.  My roles in the school include Data and Assessment, Pupil Premium and Children Looked After.  As an Associate Governor I am on the Resources and Ofsted sub committee.

I work beside the Headteacher in driving the school forward so everyone achieves their best in all lessons.

I joined the governing body in January 2016. My wife and I moved to Shenley in 2014 and we have two daughters (aged 2 and 3).  I am an underwriter in mergers and acquisitions at Ironshore International, having previously worked as a corporate solicitor at Nabarro LLP in the city. My job has given me the appropriate skills to allow me to assist the school in whatever way I can.

I provide an independent, non-parent perspective to the governing body.
